Urgent Emergency Relief Aid for Myanmar's Cyclone Disaster
Project Enlighten team member responding to Southeast Asia to provide humanitarian aid and coordinate with local resources in an effort to support the survivors.
Project Enlighten is urgently seeking monetary donations for immediate emergency relief aid for the survivors of Cyclone Nargis. The acquisition and delivery of clean water, medicine, food, and other relief supplies will be the focus for our emergency relief efforts. There are now over 100,000 feared dead, hundreds of thousands left homeless. The next few days are crucial in getting emergency relief aid to these survivors.
Currently, limited emergency supplies and humanitarian support groups have access into Burma. We are coordinating with organizations on the Thai-Burma border that are assisting in the delivery of desperately needed supplies, medicine and food. The groups are comprised of and run by local Burmese, whom are effectively providing aid. Our partners in this region are offering their assistance without administrative costs; therefore 100% of the money given goes towards direct and immediate aid to the cyclone survivors.
